So far, our membership consists of Christian homeschoolers in the Aledo, Willow Park, and their surrounding communities. However, we welcome any Christian homeschooling families who wish to take part.
We formed this group in order to try to provide a support group for homeschooling families in these areas. Currently, there are four large co-op groups meeting in Parker County and in west Ft. Worth. While these groups are excellent, they are also a bit of a drive for homeschoolers in Aledo and Willow Park to make regularly. Plus they are often over-kill for families who are really just looking to build close friendships.
Our thoughts were that our children should be able to make friends with other homeschoolers in their own community. To that end, we do weekly activities that include game/play days, theme days, parties, field trips, special fellowships, etc. These help the kids as well as the parents form solid friendships they can build on outside the group.
We look forward to growing a wonderful, supportive Christian group that can enable us to build meaningful relationships with others who share our educational philosophy: homeschooling. |
